Autism and weather changesThis is a featured page

My book available here: http://stores.lulu.com/autismbook1

1. As part of my theory on animals and autism, an Autistic person is similar to animals in certain ways...this would be one of them... Animals when the weather is changing lay down... and some start bucking or calling out to the rest of their herd. It is similar...

2. Also, the baramateric pressure affects an autistic person's vestibular and sensory system, causing more automatic responses from their body in order to keep regulated.

3. Some autistic people have great regulation (also similar to animals)

---you may see your child dressing what would be considered inappropriate for the weather) or you may have an autistic person who cannot well regulate their temperature.

4. Also, cold weather --- layering and seams in clothes, along with tags really are upsetting to the sensory and tactile defensiveness.
